LANCASTER,
CALIFORNIA
Lancaster
is the ninth largest city in Los Angeles
County, the third fastest-growing and the
second largest desert city.
Lancaster was originally a commercial
and social center primarily for Antelope
Valley farmers. After World War II, its
population saw a noticeable increase thanks
to its proximity to Edwards Air Force Base.
Lancaster has seen another housing boom as
developers seek to build new housing in
formerly undeveloped land across the
southwest U.S. |
